This is a comfortable watch with many sports-watch qualities. I purchased it primarily for the heart rate monitor that doesn't require a harness. My only complaint is that the sensor doesn't always pick up and deliver a reading when asked. It will go on in "testing" mode for what seems like forever then return you to your previous screen. You are left wondering..."what did I do?"
Recommend to the manufacturer increase sensitivity of the sensors and face protectors (mine scratched very easily).

I wish someone would have written a review explaining this watch is extremely inconsistent. I bought it hoping to track my heart rate while running and it rarely works when my heart rate is above 120 beats per minute (my target heart rate is in the 150's). It works well when testing my resting heart rate but that's not why I purchased this MIO. I wanted it b/c I want to know my heart rate during exercise. It's a nice watch if you just want to keep time but if you're serious about checking your target heart rate you will be disappointed.

I was looking for a easy to use, strapless heart rate monitor for my wife. I came across this one and decided to give it a shot. It turned out perfect.
My wife has had no issues at all getting accurate readings on demand. It is very simple to use. It is not designed as a multifunctional device, just a simple straight forward way to measure heart rate quickly and it satisfies that requirement. I would recommend it as an entry level monitor.

This is a great watch. Very light-not too bulky on the wrist. Usually read my heart rate withing 3-4 seconds; sometimes have to try a second time. The face has gotten a few scratches already after only a month of wear, but it could be from the equipment at the gym, too. Highly recommended.
